Hommus is an addictive dip which seems to accompany so many main meals adding its exquisite punch of flavour or as a dip with anything you have in your fridge or pantry.. raring you to dip! Here is the version I make:
2 Garlic cloves
1/4 Cup water
400g canned chickpeas (or fresh)
1/2 Cup Lemon juice
1/4 Cup Tahini
Crush the garlic with a garlic crusher and add into a food processor followed by the chick peas. Mix on a high setting for approximately 30 seconds or until the chickpeas are smooth. Add in the water, lemon juice, approximately 1 teaspoon of salt and a generous glug of olive oil and mix again in the food processor till smooth.
Serve with whatever your heart desires! It’s delicious as a sandwich spread, a dip or the topping of some grilled veggies.
