Ricotta and Feta Filo Cigars

Talk about light and tasty! These are great little meal or side dish on a Greek Meze platter.

Ingredients:
1 packet filo pastry
600 grams full fat ricotta cheese
250 grams feta cheese
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon cracked pepper
50 grams butter

Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan.

Make your filling by combining the ricotta, feta, oregano and pepper. Combine well till the mixture is smooth.

Making sure that your filo pastry is kept flat and between damp tea-towels at all times, use one piece of filo folded in half for each cigar.

Brush your filo lightly with butter (or shake the pastry brush over the pastry)

In the middle, at the bottom of the filo add 2 heaped tablespoons of the mixture and push out close to the ends of the pastry.

Roll up the cigars and place on a parchment paper lined baking tray. Coat with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Pop the cigars in the oven and bake until golden.
